Sick and Locked Out.

Yesterday wasn't the best of days. I woke up with a sore throat and with the head ache that I guess had not gone away the night before. I didn't have that much to do yesterday, but the reading that I did took me WAY longer than it should have.

The problems began when I came home from my media studies class. I checked my email and saw that the finals schedule for May was posted. And guess who's ONLY final exam is on the absolute last day of finals? This girl. Which, happend last semester...It's cool, I can handle it.

Then, after I went to dinner, I was coming out of the dining center and realized I didn't have my keys to the room, I called my roommate and I was able to borrow her keys to go open our room, since I was pretty sure that I just left the keys on my bed. No keys. I went back to the dining center (which was only like 5 minutes after I had finished eating) and the keys were not anywhere near the table I had been sititng.

So, I now have a loan key for 48 hours, but if I can't find my keys (and I'm not sure how I can find them, besides checking with the front desk at the dining center and security desk in Main building) I will have to pay $76 to get the lock changed, and I have no idea how to get my post office key (that was on the same keychain as my dorm room key) replaced.

The hightlight of the day was that I was able to get all my reading done and go to bed relatively early, but then I woke up at 1:30 when my neigbors stared playing extremely loud techno music...I was pretty sure that that was a dream, because I had no conception that anyone could be that inconsiderate, but my roommate confirmed it.

Here's to today being better than yesterday!

  1. Losing your keys is such a bummer. My fingers are crossed that they are found today!

  2. Meg, I'm so sorry! Losing keys is the worst (and $76 for replacement is wa-ay-ay too much).

  3. I hope you feel better quickly (and some good samaritan gives your keys back). Hang in there.
