Keys: Found!

The title of this post is a pretty good give away, but I'll wait til the end to discuss the valiant rescue of my keys.

A couple good things happened to me yesterday. One, I received a package from my awesome cousin Kory including a cute "thank you" card making kit, I spent a while stamping some cards for future thanking services.

Yesterday was supposed to be filled with lots of reading, and for some reason or another I only did 80 pages (I was supposed to do 160)...

Last night, I went to another fabulous Vassar lecture featuring Ira Glass, creator/writer/producer of the radio show "This American Life" as well as the showtime series. He has worked for all kinds of NPR shows in the past, and he is quite the entertainer. He also stayed for a long time, talking/playing clips from his shows/answering the audience's questions.

After the show I checked UpC (where everyone says they bring lost keys that are found in the dining center) one more time....resolved to call residential life to have them replace my keys the next day if I didn't find my keys by around 1pm. I went to bed thinking I would have to replace my keys....

But this morning, I woke up, showered, went to breakfast...and lo and behold my keys were at the front check in desk! So I was right, I did lose my keys in the dining center, but the weird thing is that it took them a week+1 day to find the keys and bring them to the lost and found. Crazy.

  2. CONGRATS!! That is great news about the keys and I'm so super jealous that you got to see Ira Glass. I'm obsessed with This American Life and think that the best show they could do is one about your dad's Iron Dog team. He should submit his writing to the show and see if they get a bite!
