Quick Weekend

I'm not quite sure what happend to this weekend. It went by so fast, and I still have so much work to do!

I woke up on friday, went to spanish, and then did some reading before heading off on our roadtrip to Princeton. We got a bit of a late start, and then we had to stop for gas, and then we had to get Swords (at our tournament, instead of giving away trophies, we gave swords to the top teams) engraved to give them to the winning team that would be at the Princeton tournament. And to top that all off, we got a bit lost...so it took much longer to get to Princeton than it should have. But, it was okay, because by the time we got there, the meeting that we were going to hadn't even started yet.
After munching on some free pizza, we went to our assigned meeting. We were voting on APDA (american parliamentary debate association) rules and guidelines, and finally on scheduling. The latter part was definitely the most important. This year, our tournament was scheduled alongside 2 other tournaments, so not a lot of schools came to our meet. Of course, they tried to do it again this year, but we held strong on not being triple opposed.

After the meeting, we went to a late dinner of very tasty (and spicy) Indian food before heading home on our journey.

On friday, I spent most of the day in the library working...and then went to dinner and watched a movie with friends. After this, we all got ready and went to a few birthday parties.

Sorry I didn't get any pictures of Princeton's beautiful campus, it was pretty dark by the time we got there...however, I did get a picture of our team's president and senior member walking through the Newburgh Mall with the swords...cheers!

  1. Is that (carrying swords in a mall) legal? Just checking, Meg.
