The rest of yesterday turned out to be much better. I was pretty productive and finished my reading, completed all the body paragraphs of my paper which is due on Monday, and even wrote a case for debate practice.
Funny story about my reading. I'm in the printing room printing approximately 60 pages of reading for Monday, and I carry my unstapled papers throughout my dorm and up three flights of stairs to my room. As I walk, I realize I'm getting some kind of strange looks toward my stack of paper, I had organized them in semi-precarious way so I could figure out which stacks were supposed to be stapled together, so I figured that might be it. When I got to my room, I realized the last page of my Jewish Studies Reading about Jewish Romance (that was conveniently exposed to my whole dorm...) had this very odd picture of a (seemingly) israeli romance novel model. Oh dear. How to explain this to my housemates...
Besides from my initial awkwardness, debate practice that night was really fun, debating a case from the movie "The Man From Earth" and preparing for this weekend's tournament at Northeastern University in Boston. After Debate, I was semi-tricked into going to an election results party with some kids from debate as well as some of Vassar's political clubs. For once, I was asked questions about alaskan politics that didn't (really) have to do with Sarah Palin. I left later then I wanted to and returned to my dorm room and conked out.
That picture is hilarious!! I can just imagine you walking around, looking very serious, with a half-naked Israeli man exposed to the world. Ha!
