Sorry for the lack of posts, but I have been extremely busy these last couple days!
The debate tournament was extremely fun, and it didn't rain (at least...not much) which made the walking between rounds so much more nice. I had to judge 3 rounds, which were all good debates, and picking a winner was always quite tough.
I got to see my friend David from home, who I haven't seen since I left, and I got to meet a lot of kids from the Bates debate team. I also had to house four of its members in my room, which made it a little...cozy.
Bates had a really excellent tournament, they won first place varsity and first and second place in novice (my friend David and his partner Mark got 1st place in the novice league!)
It was nice not to have to compete, but also really tiring to have to set up/judge/run the tournament. I also met a lot more cool people at this tournament than I did at the last one, which is always fun.
Whew . . . 6 folks in a 10x12 space. Sardines you were!
