After sleeping for a glorious 12 hours, I went to my friend Naomi's rugby game on Sunday morning. I watched both girls' A and B games against hometown rival Marist College...but, unfortunately they lost both their games. The boys' won, which was a good piece of revenge.
I had no idea of the inner workings of Rugby, besides what I saw in the movie Invictus, but it was incredibly exciting/terrifying to watch. Naomi had some intense bruises to support my theory.
The games were out at the Vassar farm, the ecological preserve that I had never been to. It was so pretty out there, it proved to be a quite lovely afternoon.
I thought Inviticus was soccer . . . you'll need to talk to Lia about rugby. She was a star and it is a brutal sport.

I loved rugby - much simpler than it looks. It is the best stress reliever ever!! - lia
ReplyDeleteWatching Lia playing rugby was one of the scariest (and most thrilling) sports' events ever. Yikes!

I think that the side-lines are the perfect place to be during a rugby match!
