First off, Mondy was soooo hot. It was about 80 degrees, but incredibly windy, and exceedingly humid. I'm not sure why anyone would enjoy the senation of a foggy hair-dryer constantly in action, but there were sure a large amount of people outside "enjoying" the weather.
I had my spanish class, my meditation class, as well as my US foreign policy class; which were all pretty enjoyable.
After my last class, I grabbed a snack with a friend and then went back to my room to nap before I had to go to a lecture for my history class.
In my US foreign relations class, we read a book titled "A New Deal for the World: America's Vision for Human Rights" by Elizabeth Borgwardt. It's basically about how the New Deal mentality came to be used as a framework for human rights internationally...and had lots of interesting cultural ramifications.
So, my professor invited the author to come to speak at Vassar, and we went to a reception with her before hand (she is sooo nice) and then went to hear her speak afterward, and I even got her to sign my book!
Afterwards, I grabbed dinner with some friends and then went to a VPI planning meeting.
Sounds like spring has sprung.
