We had a very strange halloween weekend, with snow "crippling" the east coast...I guess Vassar decided to dress up as Christmas for Halloween.
Dutchess county was in a state of emergency on saturday, with power going off in multiple neighborhoods and even the dorms losing power at a few points. The scariest part was that since the trees still have a lot of leaves, the branches couldn't really handle the snowfall and many branches would break off, which was really scary to hear! I would not want to walk under those trees...
My weekend was pretty fun; not too much work which was a BIG change. On Friday, I went to a haunted house hosted by another dorm with some friends and came back and watched some scary movies before going to bed.
On saturday, I did some work in the day; helped hand out candy at a college sponsor trick or treat event for local kids. That night, my dorm had a pizza party in the mpr and then I went to a college wide costume contest and ate a lot of candy and then went to the all campus dance with some friends. It was a pretty good weekend!
I was Julia from the book (and movie) 1984, my freshmen dressed up as the cast from Mean Girls...it was quite amusing.
Thanks for the commentary. I was wondering what you were until I read what you wrote. It sounds like a fun weekend despite the snow. We only got an inch here.

Even with the storm and homework sounds like a wonderful week end.
ReplyDeleteWonderful costume Meg! I didn't even know there was a movie, 1984! Also, I'm keeping a watchful eye on the east coast weather...
