Adding to my Collection

Yesterday after work, I went to a tea hosted by one of my professors for a visiting lecturer, who also happens to have written the book we are currently reading for the class, "The Last Colonial Massacre" about Guatemala in the cold war.

Then I went to dinner with some friends and hopped over to the lecture and at the end, got my book signed by Professor Grandin.

After this I came back to my room and soon after all my freshmen came over for our study break. Our dorm used to have study breaks every week on wednesday, but now we're transitioning to monthly dorm activities since our funds are kind of low...but in an email on tuesday to my frosh suggested that our fellow group could still have study breaks if they wanted, and I was surprised that they all wanted to do so. I wasn't really prepared for this one (I have plans for baked goods in the future...) so we just ate granola bars sent by my mom and factory rejected jelly bellys sent by Cousin Bill! I swear, those kids can eat a lot of jelly beans, they went through like half the bag.
