Review of my Classes

On Mondays and Wednesdays I have International Politics as well as my freshmen writing seminar on Jewish Politics and Identities. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I have Readings in U.S. History as well as Intro to Micro Economics. Doesn't sound too difficult...right? So far I have an average of 50 pages of reading for each class each night which is a little overwhelming. The only thing that is saving me is the fact that I thorougly enjoy the subject matter (thus far...) and I do feel like I'm learning things already.

My highlithg of the day includes: my jewish studies professor, who is such a kick. He told us that there was a special place in hell for people who write in books. He also invited the whole class over to dinner once he and his wife move into their new house, in doing so, he asked us to please "try to keep it down" when we are throwing up in his lawn after coming back from the senior housing parties, oh boy.

With all the readings, I've still been able to do some fun things, including watching The Excorcist for the first time (bad idea) with my floor mates.

One downside is that it is OUTRAGEOUSLY hot here, around 92 degrees with humidity today...wish me luck!

I've also gotten a tad homessick, so the picture I've included is of my newly made family collage. Miss you all!

  1. It sounds like a good mix of classes, though a bit heavy on the reading and writing (bleh!) you need a bit more science in there. At Christmas you can chat Jon up about his Jewish identity.

  2. You are such a long way from home. Even though I am just in Idaho, I still feel a long way from home and still long for home.
