Move in Day!

Today was my move in day! After a pretty good flight to Newark, and a night in Newark we drove to Poughkeepsie during a torential downpour. We shopped for a few hours/eternities, and finally got way too many things, and not enough things, at the same time.

At around 9:30 I was greeted at Lathrop Hall by a team of screaming Lathropians excited to sign us in, after my mom went to the FinAid office to pay tuition (apparently Vassar sent my tuition bill to my physical address...d'oh) I set up my room and finally met my rooomie Maggie. I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful roommate! We spent the afternoon talking and making photo collages of our friends to put on our walls...so far we've had lunches, barbecues, ice breakers (awkward) and wanderings around campus.

Tomorrow I have more "academic things" involving a pre-major advisor meeting, and academic presentations. Joy!
