Housing Info!

I thought I would celebrate my first post on my new college blog with information about my housing.
I checked my e-mail this morning and I had a message from the housing director saying that my housing assignment would be posted "soon". I then checked the site, and my information was already posted!
I discovered that I will be living in Lathrop House, on the third floor. I have a one-room double measuring 20 x 9 feet. I was very very excited with my dorm assignment, as Lathrop is located on the quad and is very close to the dining hall (a definite plus) and pretty central to the rest of the campus. After my mom looked at the vassar map up in my room, (and after I looked at a picture of the parlour posted on the Vassar site) I realized that that was one of the 2 dorms that we actually toured when we went to Vassar. I was also informed that when my dad went to college at UAF, he was staying in Lathrop house, along with two uncles and an aunt of mine. Seems like fate had it for me to be in Lathrop...and for me to have a specific room mate....
To go with my double, I have a roommate coincedentally named Margarita who lives in Los Angeles, CA. I already have her added on facebook and have corresponded with her via vassar email, it seems like Vassar did a wonderful job with the match so far. I'm so excited to have a roomie that's from my "other home" of Southern California.
That might be all for now...I will be posting my mailing address on my facebook page soon, and if I find out any more exciting info about Vassar, I will post it on here, but this might be the last post until I actually get to Poughkeepsie in August.
