I finally got back to Vassar around 7pm last night. My journey home (a flight to seattle, two hour layover in Seattle, flight to New York City, hour long bus ride from JFK airport to the train station, an hour and a half train ride to Poughkeepsie, and a quick shuttle from the station back to Vassar) had its mix of good and bad. I was actually able to sleep the entire way on both of my flights, which made the trip go by MUCH faster. There's a tie for worst part of my trip, with the contenders being the layover in Seattle as well as dealing with my two huge bags and hauling them up three flights of stairs.
It's also exceedingly slushy here. It's nice that the weather isn't too cold, but the slush is pretty awful, my shoes/socks have been constantly wet since getting here.
I haven't done much since getting here, just visited with friends last night, went to a late dinner, unpacked, and then went to bed early.
Don said he saw you at the airport. Sounds like a long trip but glad you made it with wet feet and all. Also, glad you are back on your blog. I missed it.
