Let me tell you, the last two days have not been so fun.
They've been pretty jam packed with semi heavy topics for training, including; diversity, religion, politics, suicide, alcohol and drug use, sexual abuse, conflict management, mediating, etc. It's been tough, but I feel like we've had a lot of good conversations.
On the plus side, my first freshbaby moved in two days ago, his name is Yefri and is incredibly nice and friendly and we've already developed a pretty nice relationship. My one failing was the fact that he called me last night at around 12:30am (when I was asleep) because there was a bat in his room and he didn't know what to do. Since I missed the call, I went to his room this morning to make sure that everything was OK and he told me about the bat infestation and how he called security who took care of it; he's a pretty smart/independent cookie!
Had a fun house team bonding party last night, and I adore everyone who is on the student government for my dorm; what a great group of people!

Have no fear . . . the fun will return. Just think, you could have had some fun last night chasing bats had you been awake!

Ah, Lia could have helped you in this is a situation. She had to deal with bats (real ones, just like yours) when she was an RA.

Bats!!! Just one more reason that the east coast is such a foreign place to me.
