Fun day of training

Yesterday was actually really fun. We had planning meetings in the morning and then in the afternoon we had fire safety training. Fire safety training was crazy, in the most intense one, we had to sit in a room while it was being filled with theatrical smoke and then crawl out of the building we were in. The smoke was so thick you literally could not see more than 2 feet in front of your face. We also had to dress up as firefighters and crawl into a building to retrieve a 150 pound mannequin from the "burning building" which was likewise filled with smoke.

In the last, unrelated part, of fire training we had a house competition between the different dorms in "water wall" which was sort of like tug of war, but each house team had a fire hose and was trying to bush a ball on a string to the other house's goal post.In short, I was absolutely drenched, but it was a really hot day so it felt nice. We were masochistic and we lost the first time, and then played three more times until winning on the last try.

After this, some of my fellow house team members went to the mall to do some school shopping, where I got detergent! (Now I Just have to wait for the power to be turned back on in the basement for us to be able to use the laundry machines.)

We then went out to dinner for thai food and then did more planning. LONG day!
