Thursday

My thursday consisted of my american politics class and then my media studies class. We didn't really do much in either, so it was kind of nice just to have a laid back day. About a half hour after class I joined some friends to go hear David Harvey, an anthropology professor at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, and one of the 20 most cited authors in the humanities. He's been credited to bringing back social class and marxist methods as serious teaching schools in political theory. And he kind of looked like Karl Marx too, so it was a plus.

Afte this, I had 20 minutes to grab dinner with friends before going to the debate executive debate meeting at 7:45 and then debate practice after, where we were training non-debaters for the special Intra-Collegiate Debate Tournament this Saturday. After this, I studied and studied for my spanish test that I just took.

And between classes yesterday, I checked my mail to find my new Alaska Magazine. Fishing Edition. Makes me miss home.
