After a beautiful vacation in San Diego, I'm back at school.
I left San Diego at 7:40am yesterday morning and got into John F. Kennedy Airport at around 3:30 (a tad early) and my bags were even the first one off the flight, but for some reason it took me until 5:38 to get to Grand Central Station, where I was to catch a 5:52 train. I did that, and even got a sandwich to eat on the train ride.
I got back to vassar at around 8pm and ran to check my mail. In my mailbox was my congratulations letter for being accepted as a student fellow for the 2011-2012 school year. A student fellow is basically like an RA at any other school, but we don't have disciplinary powers, an a primary goal is guiding the freshmen during their orientation. I met everyone else who was selected a student fellows, and it seems like a really nice group of people, I'm excited!
However, the dissapointment this morning came in the fact that I woke up at 8am to what looks like a blizzard of snow...yuckk.
Welcome back! I hope that you had a fabulous time in San Diego. I still have such wonderful memories of summers there with you guys!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you had a great time. We are still on Catalina Island. What is your room mates name? We saw a picture and a story about a girl from LA going to Vassar and the picture sure looks like those you have posted of your room mate. She was also wearing a purple sweater like the one in the picture you posted
