Our journey to the debate tournament started off horribly, horribly wrong with a flat tire before even leaving Vassar's campus. We were leaving with an uncomfortable amount of time to get there anyways...so we missed the first round. However, my partner and I only debated four rounds and we won 3, and we only lost to a team that ended up breaking onto the next level.
And every time I go to New Jersey, I remember how grateful I am that I do not live there. Rutgers's campus was HUGE. The upside were these grease trucks that sold these sandwiches which should probably be illegal.
Pictures are of walking around New Brunswick. Oh, and we went to a falafel and fry place and since we only had 15 minutes of parking, had to take the belgian fry sauce in a little bag that I'm really surprised didn't get spilled all over me. The drive was also reminiscent of home, I sat in the back middle seat both there and back between two much taller boys on my team.
I love that even with flat tire & greasy food, you still had a good time.
