Haircut

This isn't an entirely new development, but I forgot to mention it. On Friday, I got my first hair cut in Poughkeepsie at this fancy (and overpriced) salon very close to the campus.

Hairdressers never want to cut my hair short, since it's so thick and curly...so it's not as short as I wanted it to be, but my nice hairdresser layered it and "texturized" it (the equivalent of taking away hair without getting rid of length...which I didn't know till I saw the strange scissors) and now my pony tail is MUCH lighter and more manageable than it once was.
