London Tea

Today some visiting students journeyed into London for a free tea hosted by the "7 Colleges" group of London...basically the remaining seven sisters, and then Harvard and Vassar faking it with their coeducation.

It was held at the Royal Automobile Club, which I guess is like a country club in the city, it was super fancy and the two hour tea consisted of tea (of course), scones and cream, sandwiches, a variety of cakes, mini creme brulees, and the like. Saw a bunch of Vassar kids who were studying in London and met a fair amount from the other colleges.

Afterwards, we walked from the Royal Automobile Club back to Victoria Station. It took us right through St. James Park with great views of the London Eye, Big Ben, and Buckingham palace.

Desserts! The red currents on the meringue in the front reminded me of Alaska in summertime.

  1. Meg,

Congratulations on your finalist status! You're already a winner in my mind anyway. I'm so proud of you. Now if I could just import that wonderful "tea" life would be perfect.
