Christ Church

In my attempt to see a majority of Oxford's extensive "campus", my friend Eleni and I went to Christ Church college, one of the most famous in Oxford, its produced 13 prime ministers and Harry Potter was partly filmed there. The cathedral is absolutely stunning, built around 1200, it has lots of notable people buried there, including John Locke, and some really great stained glass.

Tom Quad, the largest quad at Oxford. And yes, the sky has constantly been this dreary gray since I arrived in the UK.

Front of cathedral

sneaky side stained glass

My favorite stained glass, there is a ship at the top which is supposed to be carrying someone important up to heaven.

The grounds

Love this dead ivy stuff

  1. I'd go by that ship just for the ride! I love the antiquity. (There's not much in Chugiak.)
