Last night was our last "real" debate practice for the rest of the year, so we wanted to honor our two graduating seniors. They have a strange obsession with mammoths (they've written a lot of debate cases about them...) so my friend Nathan had the idea to make a cake in the shape of a mammoth, and I was skeptical...but I offered to help. We made the frosting, and then Nathan had a friend help assemble the cake into its mammoth form, and we then carried it across the quad to debate practice. I was so terrified that it would start raining...or I would trip, or something horrible would happen...but the cake arrived in one piece.
It's a great cake!
