A lot of work was completed/avoided yesterday.
I had a meeting with the professor that I will be assisting in research this semester for my second job, and he told me that I'm going to helping him finish his textbook about Obama in Iraq. My first assignment (before I can officially start work on wednesday) is to read Obama's Wars by Bob Woodward. This book is mostly about Afghanistan, and not Iraq, which is cool too I suppose. The pic tab in the pic is how much I have read so far, still have about 200 pages to go.
Yesterday we had our first mock debate for the new crop of freshmen, and they all seemed pretty interested, I was "Judging" so it wasn't too stressful on my part. I made great posters with sarah palin, hamlet, and rebecca black references but had to take them down because they weren't approved by the college, which I didn't even know had to happen.
I am impressed! That is a lot of reading. I haven't sat down to read anything all summer. We have kept way too busy. I limit my reading to early morning in the hot tub.
